Do you require your cardholders to submit receipts, but they often forget or lose the receipt? PEX can automatically send a single gentle reminder to users to their mobile device, encouraging them to upload any missing receipts. The cardholder will receive a reminder once the transaction settles, which is usually 24-48 hours after their purchase.
Note:Cardholders must use PEX Mobile app for iOS or Android if you wish for them to receive receipt reminders. One receipt reminder is sent per transaction to the cardholder through the mobile app. Receipt reminders are not emailed.

Enabling mobile receipt reminders

By default, your cardholders will not receive receipt reminders. You must enable this feature in your Business Settings.

  • Note: the Admin must have permissions to “edit business profile” to change the receipt reminder setting

Click on Business Settings

In the Profile tab, click on the “Edit” button at the bottom below Settings

Click the checkbox under “Receipt reminder for cardholders” to enable or disable

Enter a desired value threshold to trigger a receipt reminder

Click “Update” to save changes
You can optionally set a dollar value threshold for receipt reminders. This is useful if your organization only requires receipts for transactions exceeding a certain value. To set a threshold value for reminders:
  1. Enter a value > $0 in the text box titled “Only include purchases above: [__]”
  2. Click “save”. Reminder notifications will not be sent for any transactions that fall below the threshold.
Cardholders will receive a push notification on their mobile device stating “Reminder to upload your receipt”. The reminder is sent if the transaction settles without a receipt. Most transactions settle within 24-48 hours after a purchase. Tapping the notification on one’s mobile device will open the relevant transaction in the PEX mobile app, making it easy for your cardholders to attach the receipt to the appropriate transaction.
