Before you can use it for purchases, your administrator must complete the following: 
  • Activate your card: Change the status from Inactive to Active status in the PEX platform.  If your card is purple, you can activate your card by following the instructions in the cardholder guide that shipped with your card. For all other cards, only a business administrator can activate your card. Please contact your business administrator directly.
  • Fund your card: Transfer funds to your card from a bank account your business has set up.
Registering your card to create login credentials will let you check the status of the card, download card statements, upload receipts onto transactions, and verify the current balance via a web browser, or the PEX mobile app. Go to How to Create a New Cardholder User Account for detailed instructions to register your card, and create an account. When a cardholder completes the registration process, the business administrator will be notified to activate the card within the PEX platform. 
Note:The PEX card does not support “card loads”, such as direct deposits and cash deposits, nor does it support transferring funds to a personal bank account. It also cannot be used to access cash at ATMs, point-of-purchase for cashback, etc.
